The Academy of Kempo Martial Arts

Was first started back in 1983 in the state of Washington. Over time two main locations have been started in Bellevue, and Federal Way. Each of the locations are family owned, not part of a chain of martial arts schools. Each of the locations focuses on teaching the martial arts to students to help them develop a complete system of self defense that will not only improve their safety, but many other aspects of their life.

Robert Jones, the master instructor, runs all  locations of the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts. He started his own martial arts schools after beginning his own training back in 1978. Today he oversees each of the academies and ensures that the instruction provided is of high quality.

Kung Fu

Is the type of martial arts that is taught at the Academy. The styles of Kung Fu that are taught at the academies include White Tiger, Moh Kempo, and Five Animals (Tiger, Dragon, Snake, Crane, and Leopard). This type of martial arts is an effective method of self defense that includes takedowns, ground fighting, weapons, multiple attacks, and lock traps. It provides a total workout for the body, helping release stress, building strength and endurance, and improving flexibility.

Every instructor at the Academy of Kempo Martial Arts is a professional full time teacher. It is their job to help students get results. Each instructor also goes through a teaching certification program before they begin teaching. Every location is open full time, which allows you to book in their own time.

The combination of experience, professionalism, and personal training is what makes the academy unique from other martial arts schools. The Academy of Kempo Martial Arts has a mission of equipping individuals to protect themselves and others, while increasing fitness, confidence, and self esteem.
